| Hilarious laughs are what “Africa Screams” shouts out in this Abbot and Costello classic. When a bookseller, Stanley Livington (Lou Costello) is used a patsy by his close friend, Buzz Johnson (Bud Abbot) to impress a woman named Diane Emerson (Hillary Brooke). The three travel to Africa with their new guide, Stanley. It’s a search for a diamond mine, which leads to a blind game hunter, some animal tamers, wild animals and an even wilder river. Eventually Stanley does find the diamonds and pursues his dream of becoming a bookshop owner, taking Buzz along for the ride as his new employee. |
