| Liu Jian (Jet Li) is a Chinese intelligence agent who has been sent to Paris to capture a Chinese mobster involved with smuggling heroin. While in Paris, Liu is framed for the brutal murder of the gangster by a corrupt police inspector, Jean-Pierre Richard (Tcheky Karyo). While trying to escape Liu meets up with Jessica (Bridget Fonda), another victim of Richard’s. Richard has forced Jessica into prostitution. Jessica can prove Liu’s innocence, unfortunately Richard has foreseen this and kidnaps Jessica’s daughter. Liu is then forced to confront Richard and his thugs to prove his innocence and save Jessica’s daughter. |
