| Nick Condon (James Cagney) is a very popular and successful news reporter. He’s recently been assigned to do a story on Japanese politics and lifestyle, so he sets out for the foreign land. There, he is anything but respectful of local customs and especially their imperialist government. Eventually the strict Japanese government has had enough and they arrest Condon. Learning that Condon has contacts and information about high ranking American diplomacy, the government brutally interrogates Condon and they intend to murder him once they get the information they need. Now, Condon must survive long enough to find a means for escape or he will be just another victim of the harsh Japanese regime. |
