| When very wealthy attorney Arthur Jamison (Anthony Hopkins) is faced with divorce, he knows that his wife Louise (Blythe Danner) will insist on a hefty alimony settlement. He does not want to lose his wealth because if he does, he just might lose his lovely mistress. Jackie (Swoosie Kurtz) has agreed to help her lover come up with a plot to murder Louise. Jamison and Jackie work out several different methods to commit the perfect murder. When they finally decide on which one will be fool-proof, Arthur Jamison must take on an alter-ego to perform the crime. Will they be able to pull off this crime are they just too smart for their own good? |
