| A recently elected governor, Don Diego (Alain Delon) travels to his province to meet his people and understand their way of life, when he discovers that his territory has been overrun by corrupt bandits and is now governed by the vile Colonel Huerta (Stanley Baker). Diego acts publicly extremely weak and non-threatening as to avoid the wrath of Colonel Huerta, but in private he assumes the identity of Zorro, a masked crusader who thwarts evil and protects the innocent. Diego meets the virtuous monk, Francisco (Giampiero Albertini) and a lovely vixen, and the trio band together to defeat the forces of Huerta and free the province. |
