Plot
The story centers on a Jesse Lujack (Richard Gere) a drifter who is obsessed with comics and rock and roll music and a college student, Monica Poiccard (Valerie Kaprisky) whom he had a short two day tryst with. Jesse steels a car and shoots a police officer while attempting to hide a gun that the owner of the car had left in the vehicle. He makes his way to Los Angeles and a wanted man for shooting the officer. Jesse moves in with Monica in Los Angeles where they engage in a psychological play of dominance, strength and Monica's need for freedom versus her desire for stability. Jesse, eventually, proves to be too much to handle for Monica as she informs the police of their location while they are plotting to escape the law by running to Mexico. The movie ends with Jesse Brandishing a Gun towards the Police.
